We specialize in affordable home technology systems that are easy and invisible. We have three locations, located in Manhattan, Shawagunk and Hudson, NY. We have more than thirty years of experience blending high performance technology into your decor.
We've stayed a small company for thirty years because we believe that trust is earned by staying close to our customers. When you call us, you will be talking to one of four principals, not a faceless business empire.
We spend a great deal of time researching new products and techniques. If there is a way to make a nifty new thing work reliably, we spend the time needed to test it thoroughly before we install it! You will never feel like a beta tester!
Our teams have spent years learning how to do it "Andy's Way". We pride ourselves on taking the time to make sure that every wire is dressed, every piece of gear you own is serviceable and free from environmental stress. We love hiding things cleverly, and work hard to achieve invisibility.
We offer installation during new construction, remodels or as pure retrofits into your existing decor. We are licensed and insured for work in any residential building in Manhattan and throughout the Hudson Valley. If you need audio/video that is simple to use, and invisble when not in use, we are your team.
Manhattan Apartments
We live and work daily in Manhattan. If you have an apartment or condo in Manhattan, we can effect wondrous change to your home entertainment. We regularly engineer concealed technology into an existing apartment.
Of course, we love participating in remodels or new construction as early as possible as many more options can be offered to you. Homes in the Hudson Valley
We personally own second homes in the hudson valley. Eric has a place on the Shawagunk ridge and Andy has his second home near Hudson. We know what it's like to worry about your second home while in the city and can appreciate the needs of the weekender.
We provide full Nest control of your heating/cooling and Nest surveillance cameras for the home, so that you can see your home on your phone. Most importantly, we install smart tv, streaming music and movies, shades and lighting controls that don't confuse you when you arrive. We make second homes the sanctuary you need.

Because we've been at this for more than thirty years, we are uniquely educated into what might be behind any wall or ceiling. We have special tools and techniques that enable us to efficiently install systems without damaging any of your existing decor.
In any new construction project, we brind a valuable knowledge of a huge variety of premium custom home building techniques. You may rest assured that whether your home is constructed of logs, wood frame, stone, or concrete we've dealt with it before and know how to efficiently conceal the infrastructure your home will need.
Our technology (TVs, distributed music systems and sources) is constantly changing. We constantly research and test new technologies. Up to now, cable cutting has made no sense for anyone that likes standard network content, but we are testing solutions that promise that even PBS will be included without requiring a cable or satellite subscription, only high speed internet. New solutions for concealing our technology are released frequently, again they only become part of our technology offering when we've tested them. We are experts that you can trust to never attempt installing untested products.
Thirty years of training clients to use systems has taught us what works.
We use custom programming to create intuitive control for our clients. In TV rooms we provide backlit customized remote controls that allow you to find frequently used buttons quickly and easily. In music rooms we exploit your phone or tablet to provide browsing and album viewing via an app on your phone. For lighting, shade control and thermostats we provide beautifully simple scene buttons and room control via keypads at the entry/exit of each room. Overall control of everything can be done via spoken voice commands or via touch screen, phone or tablet app.
We provide you (and your interior designer or architect) with the most beautifully designed products for shading, lighting and temperature control.
Having a light that turns on with a touch to your phone is nice. Having a home that has control of the sunlight via shades and has controlled lighting is a revelation. Recalling preset scenes at particular times of the day (which change as the seasons pass) enables your home to always look its best. Only with a combination of shades and lighting control can you experience your home as you've dreamed it could be.

How we work to make you happy.
Contact us, you will find us down to earth and knowledgable. Our process is to find out what you've had in the past, what made you want something better and to educate you with what is possible.
Interview
We'll interview you, the homeowner first and foremost. Without your direct input, we are compromised. We frequently need to interview your interior designer, architect and custom builder before we recommend a system design. Only once we have the full picture of your needs can we propose a system design.
Proposal
Typically, we can develop a fully engineered proposal within a few days of an interview. Your proposal will detail all the equipment and labor costs of your project. At this point, you may want to make changes and adjustments, we are used to that. Once everyone agrees, we take an initial deposit and start work.
Installation
If we are retrofitting into your existing decor, we will schedule with you and begin work when it is convenient to you. When you are building a new home, or remodeling, we stage installation in three phases (typically by coordinating with your contractor):
1)Wiring and behind-wall bracketing is done when the walls are open.
2)Speakers are put in after drywall (walls and ceilings) is finished, before painting or wallpapering.
3)Once your home is finished and secure, we install the electronics.
Setup and Tuning
Once the installation is finished, a project manager or your system designer will setup the system with you, explain the use of the system and make any tuning or setup changes you require. Personal tastes make this the most important service we perform. It's important that final setup and tuning be done for you when it is convenient to you. You need to be relaxed and ready to have fun!
As Andy says, it is a complicated world, and the best way to have fun at home is to uncomplicate your technology.
